6 years agoThe Washington Redskins will play their second preseason game Thursday versus the New York Jets. There will be a lot of players being used so here are the important ones to watch. First off, there will be players who are safe and merely need to not get injured. The main fantasy names there are Alex Smith, Jamison Crowder, and Jordan Reed. You then have your guys who are safe on the roster but can help their standing with Alex Smith. Paul Richardson, Vernon Davis and perhaps Brian Quick are the main guys in that category. Finally, you have the running backs. Samaj Perine and Rob Kelley are batting for the role of the traditional runner. Chris Thompson has the pass-catching role in hand but could steal further touches if he outshines the other two. Finally, Byron Marshall is impressing coaches and looks like he could get some of Thompson's value if Thompson gets hurt.--Jamie Mellor
