4 months agoMinnesota Twins outfield prospect Walker Jenkins extended his hitting streak to 13 games on Wednesday as he went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI. During this incredible stretch, the top prospect in Minnesota has held a stellar .378/.541/.622 line with two home runs, 12 RBI, four stolen bases, and a 16:6 BB:K ratio. Overall, through his first extended look at Single-A ball, the former fifth-overall pick has posted a .291/.423/.455 line. Jenkins should be on his way to High-A fairly soon and could spend most of next summer in the upper levels of the minor leagues.
