Walker Buehler Rained Out In Triple-A Start, Could Make MLB Start Monday
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starter Walker Buehler had his Triple-A start rained out on Sunday in New Orleans. That means he could conceivably start for the major league ball club on Monday. The team hasn't announced who it will be and will wait until Monday to do so. Buehler and Brock Stewart are the leading candidates. The game is against the Marlins, which would favor Buehler, who is considered among the top pitching prospects in baseball. He's been tremendous in his three Triple-A starts so far in 2018. Over 13 innings, he's punched out 16 batters and walked four, giving him a 1.08 WHIIP. Batters are hitting a mere .204 against him. Regardless of how Monday pans out, it's likely a spot start for whoever it is because Rich Hill is likely to come off the DL as soon he's eligible. If Buehler is somehow available in your league, grab him immediately.
