Wade Davis Works Around Danger For Save
6 years agoColorado Rockies closer Wade Davis locked down his 25th save on Wednesday, but he once again found himself pitching out of danger. Tasked with protecting a slim one-run margin, Davis walked Andrew McCutchen and allowed a single to the dangerous Buster Posey before drawing a line out from pinch-hitter Brandon Crawford to end the game. Davis hasn't been nearly as dominant as he was in previous seasons, but he still leads the National League in saves, which are the key part of why he's owned.
