Wade Davis Blows Another Save
6 years agoComing into 2018, Colorado Rockies closer Wade Davis had never blown more than three saves in a single season. With a walk-off loss to the Cardinals on Thursday, Davis has now blown five saves this year. Davis had been on a bit of a roll since his horrific meltdown against the Astros two weeks ago, snagging three saves and a win in his last four outings. Unfortunately, his stuff was apparently easy to see during the day game in St. Louis because he got tagged for three straight singles to finish off the Rockies. Davis remains a bit of a high-wire act as he's logged an impressive 31 saves but is carrying a 4.57 ERA with worse strikeout and walk numbers than last year.
