Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Back At Third On Tuesday
6 months agoFor the second time in the last three games, Toronto Blue Jays infielder Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is starting at third base and will hit third in the batting order on Tuesday against the visiting Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Corbin Burnes. The Toronto Star's Mike Wilner writes that he was told Guerrero would play third base "a couple of times every week and a half or so." Justin Turner will man first base and bat sixth. At this rate, Vladdy will regain third base eligibility for his fantasy managers. The 25-year-old right-handed slugger may only have six home runs on the year in 227 at-bats, but his managers aren't complaining about his .295 average while also adding 27 runs scored and 27 RBI. Since a four-hit game on May 26, Guerrero is hitting .333 (11-for-33) with a homer and three RBI in his last eight contests.
