Vince Velasquez Expects To Rejoin Rotation

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Vince Velasquez (forearm) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday. He expects to rejoin the starting rotation when he comes off the injured list. "I know there’s a lot of talk, but that’s my spot. I believe that 100 percent," Velasquez said. The right-hander is 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings in seven outings (six starts). He's teased fantasy owners in the past but hasn't been able to show the consistency to stick in the long term in mixed leagues. He'll simply be a deep league streamer based on the matchups if he's starting again upon his return.
