Winnipeg Jets defenseman Ville Heinola (ankle) will be out for a minimum of four weeks after undergoing surgery. Heinola has been battling an ankle infection. Jets head coach Scott Arniel revealed on Thursday that Heinola had a pin removed from his ankle, which was surgically repaired last season. Heinola didn't make a single NHL appearance in 2023-24 but suited up for 41 AHL games after making his season debut in January. He finished with 10 goals and 27 points. The 23-year-old would add some quality to the Jets defense, but unfortunately, we won't see him for a while. Fellow blue-liners Logan Stanley and Dylan Samberg are currently also battling health issues, but according to Arniel, neither player is dealing with anything serious.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
