Victor Robles Signs Two-Year Extension
8 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles has signed a two-year extension with the organization. The 27-year-old gets a $9.75 million extension with a $9 million option for the 2027 season. What a turnaround for Robles who was cut by the Washington Nationals earlier in the season. He's slashing .303/.372/.450 in 42 contests since joining the Mariners. Robles has always been a solid defender, but his bat has been holding him back. Hopefully Robles has finally put it all together.

Victor Robles Returns To The Field On Monday
2 weeks agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (hand) got the start in right field and was batting leadoff for Monday's Cactus League game against the San Diego Padres. Robles is back in action to begin the week after he was pulled from Saturday's exhibition game early against the Chicago White Sox when he was hit by a pitch on the right hand. Thankfully, the 27-year-old avoided any broken bones and will be ready for Opening Day this Thursday against the division-rival Athletics. The Dominican outfielder came alive last year after being traded from the Washington Nationals to Seattle, as he slashed .328/.393/.467 with an .860 OPS, four home run, 26 RBI and 30 steals in 77 games for the M's. Fantasy managers shouldn't be banking on a repeat for Robles over a full season, especially since he has limited power, but his speed should play in at least deep-mixed leagues out of the leadoff spot in Seattle.

Victor Robles' X-Rays Come Back Clean
2 weeks agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles' (hand) X-rays were deemed negative. Though he is not in the lineup on Sunday, he's hitting in the cages, per Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com. Robles left Saturday's outing against the Chicago White Sox after getting plunked in the hand with a pitch and looked to be seriously hurting. Fortunately, it appears he can be considered day-to-day. The 27-year-old was a different player last season upon his arrival to Seattle, hitting an eye-popping .328 with 30 steals after the move. Robles is currently hovering around the top 200 picks off the board (~OF30) and projects to give fantasy managers the most considerable boost in the average and steals categories.

Victor Robles Exits Early On Saturday
2 weeks agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles (hand) was forced to exit early during Saturday's spring training contest. Robles appeared to be in significant pain after taking a pitch off his hand. He immediately exited the contest and is likely to undergo additional testing. Afterwards, Mariners manager Dan Wilson said he believes Robles has avoided a serious injury. Possibly, Robles misses a day or two, but will hopefully be ready in time for Opening Day. UPDATE: Robles was set to undergo an X-ray on his hand, but the team sounded optimistic that he will be fine.

Victor Robles Takes A Seat
6 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles is out of the starting lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Oakland Athletics. The Mariners don't have anything to play for anymore after being eliminated from the postseason contention That being said, Seattle has little incentive to play their star players. Mitch Haniger will take over in right field and bat sixth against left-hander JP Sears. Haniger has been bad at the plate this season, but even worse against left-handed pitching, so he can be avoided in all fantasy formats on Friday.
