3 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson has cemented his role as the third wide receiver in this offense with his performance in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions. Jefferson caught four of his seven targets for 43 yards and a score, with his touchdown coming in the second quarter when quarterback Matthew Stafford lobbed up a ball to him in the corner of the end zone that he managed to come down with. Jefferson's seven targets were third on the team overall and second among wideouts. With teammates Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods often drawing the more difficult matchups from opposing cornerbacks, Jefferson can take advantage of his situation. He's seen at least three targets in every game this season, and he's seen four or more targets in every game since Week 3.
