2 years agoBaltimore Ravens linebacker Tyus Bowser (Achilles) has been activated from the injured reserve. The 27-year-old returned to practice on October 12th, so he has been getting back into game shape. Last season, Bowser led the team with sacks and tackles for loss before suffering a torn Achilles in Week 18. His return to the field should be a boost for the Ravens defense. The Baltimore linebacker group is getting stronger with Bowser back and recently acquired Roquan Smith joining the team. Bowser has a chance at playing in Week 9, but the team will likely wait and see how he feels during practice.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

4 hours agoFormer Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan participated in his pro day on Monday and was clocked at a 4.48 for his 40-yard dash. FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz reported the news. Schultz also noted that 24 NFL teams were in attendance. McMillan is widely considered the top wideout prospect in this year's draft class. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 219lbs, the 21-year-old was stellar in his last two collegiate seasons, racking up 174 receptions and 2,721 receiving yards with 18 scores. McMillan has size, speed, and a reliable set of hands. He's been mocked to a few intriguing spots, including the Jacksonville Jaguars at fifth overall and the Dallas Cowboys, who currently hold the twelfth overall pick. Across three seasons with Arizona, he averaged 92.5 yards per game.--Alex Ciulla

6 hours agoFree-agent quarterback Jameis Winston is scheduled to visit with the New York Giants on Tuesday, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The Giants are waiting for a decision from future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, but in the meantime, they are taking visits with Winston, Joe Flacco and Russell Wilson as fallback options. Even if the G-Men land Rodgers in free agency, it wouldn't be a surprise to see them take a rookie signal-caller at No. 3 overall in the upcoming NFL draft -- or even trade up to No. 1 overall for a young QB. The 31-year-old Winston, the former first overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015 out of Florida State, initially gave the Cleveland Browns' offense a spark in 2024 after the season-ending injury to Deshaun Watson (Achilles). However, he was ultimately benched late in the year and remains a turnover machine.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

20 hours agoAfter signing wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase to a record four-year, $161 million deal with $112 million guaranteed on Sunday night, the Cincinnati Bengals then turned around and signed receiver Tee Higgins to a four-year, $115 million deal to make him the highest-paid No. 2 wideout in NFL history, according to FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. The first two years of Higgins' new deal are guaranteed. Cincy put the franchise tag on Higgins for the second straight year, but it only served as a placeholder before they locked the 26-year-old up long term. Although the former second-rounder (33rd overall) in 2020 out of Clemson only played in 12 games (nine starts) in 2024 due to injuries, he excelled when on the field and finished with a 73-911-10 line. His 10 scores were a new career-high. Although Chase takes valuable targets away from Higgins, he still has two 1,000-yard seasons and two 900-yard seasons, making him a strong WR2 target in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

20 hours agoThe Cincinnati Bengals signed wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase to a four-year, $161 million deal with $112 million guaranteed on Sunday to make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, according to FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. The 25-year-old All-Pro wideout is now under contract with the Bengals for the next five years for $182.816 million. The former fifth overall pick in 2021 out of LSU was deserving of the record contract after leading the league in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708), touchdowns (17) and yards per game (100.5) in 17 games (16 starts) for the Bengals in his fourth year in the league in 2024. Chase has now been a Pro Bowler in each of his four years in the NFL and has put up at least 1,046 yards and seven touchdowns every year. With Tee Higgins also coming back and with Joe Burrow throwing him the football, Chase will be the unquestioned top receiver in fantasy this fall.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
