Tyree Jackson Makes The Initial Roster
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Tyree Jackson (back) officially made it to the Eagles 53-man roster. He fractured a bone in his back during a preseason game about two weeks ago, so he'll almost certainly end up on IR before the Eagles play their first game, but the fact that he was officially on the roster first means that the team will be able to designate him as eligible to return later in the season. Jackson drew rave reviews in training camp and measures in at 6'7", 249 pounds with 4.59 speed. He'll be behind both Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz on Philly's tight end depth chart, but if an injury hits one of those two (or if Ertz continues to decline), Jackson could make some noise later this season.
