Tyler Wells Likely To Make Roster
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Tyler Wells is likely to make the Opening Day roster. The current reports are that the O's are planning to option top pitching prospect Grayson Rodriguez to Triple-A to begin the season. That means, Kyle Bradish and Wells are the two most likely candidates to make the roster. Wells appears to be the better option of the two after making 23 starts for the Orioles last season. He posted a 4.25 ERA (4.52 FIP), a 1.14 WHIP, 76 strikeouts and 28 walks in 103 2/3 innings. Possibly, Wells has some deep league value, but he isn't exactly a consistent option.
