6 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman Tyler Wade has officially been promoted to the big leagues on Friday. The move comes after sensational rookie Gleyber Torres (hip) was placed on the disabled list. Wade will provide depth at second, but considering his batting average in brief work this season (.086), it's highly unlikely that his promotion will damage the outlook for Neil Walker and Brandon Drury. Both hitters can not only play second base but have also hit better than Wade this season. That said, the magic of Yankee Stadium and its short porch in right field is very real, so American League-only fantasy players and those in deep leagues should do their due diligence on Wade's playing time and production going forward.--Mauricio Castillo
