Tyler Skaggs Has Forearm Fatigue
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs was scratched from his Cactus League start on Sunday due to forearm fatigue. His injury isn't considered serious and an MRI exam already came back clean. "We’re just gonna push him back a couple days," Angels manager Brad Ausmus said. "You will more than likely see him soon. It’s just precaution." The left-hander is in the running to be the Opening Day starter along with lefty Andrew Heaney. Skaggs has decent stuff and had a career-high 9.3 K% last year, but he's never made more than 24 starts or gone more than 125 innings in his six seasons. He's worth taking a chance on in the later rounds in deep mixed leagues.
