1 year agoTyler Reddick seemed to be lurking most of the practice and qualifying session. The 23XI Racing driver put it all together on the final lap as qualifying for the pole ended. With the clock ticking to zero, the No. 45 car was able to edge past Shane Van Gisbergen. However, his 88.479 second lap was not enough to get past Denny Hamlin for the pole. Reddick has won on three road courses the past three years. Furthermore, his experience on tracks like Indianapolis may help on the 2.2-mile Grant Park track.
