Tyler O'Neill Absent From Saturday's Lineup
8 months agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners. He will get the day off, with Wilyer Abreu getting the start in right field. O'Neill is slashing .286/.375/.714 with a home run and a stolen base over eight plate appearances in 2024. The 28-year-old's next chance to return to the lineup will be Sunday for the series finale against the Mariners. Abreu was on the bench for Boston's first two games and will make his season debut on Saturday. The 24-year-old slashed .316/.388/.474 with two home runs, 14 RBI, 10 runs scored, and three stolen bases over 28 games in 2023. Abreu struggled mightily this spring, hitting .127 over 63 at-bats, and can be avoided as a streamer or in DFS for Saturday's slate in a tough matchup against Logan Gilbert.
