Tyler Locklear Swinging A Hot Bat In July
4 months agoSeattle Mariners first base prospect Tyler Locklear went 3-for-5 with a double, and a triple on Wednesday evening. Since July 1, the former second-round selection has been on a great run with a .355/.436/.710 slash line and two long balls. Locklear made his major league debut in May but only logged 10 games with a .200/.250/.433 line before being sent back down to Triple-A. The VCU product has progressed through the Seattle system very quickly as he opened the season at Double-A and already earned a stint in the majors. The 23-year-old is a name to keep a close eye on in deeper AL-only leagues, as he could be worth adding once he re-joins the major league roster in the second half of the summer.
