5 months agoSeattle Mariners first base/third base prospect Tyler Locklear is being promoted to the major league roster as Ty France (heel) is dealing with an injury. France was not in Saturday's lineup and manager Scott Servais did express his concern about the severity of the injury in a postgame interview. While France has not officially been placed on the injured list as of yet, he may miss some time out of caution and Locklear's promotion seems to point toward that. Locklear began the season with Double-A and posted a strong .291/.401/.532 line with eight long balls and 26 RBI. He was recently moved up to Triple-A Tacoma on May 28 and has held an excellent .300/.417/.475 through his first ten games at that level. Locklear is worth adding in deeper mixed leagues and should be rostered in all AL-only formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
