Tyler Johnson and Ondrej Palat Lead Lightning
5 years agoTampa Bay Lightning forwards Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat, and Brayden Point all chipped in with three points, as the Lightning pulled out a 7-6 overtime victory over the New Jersey Devils. Palat with two, Johnson, Point, Mathieu Joseph, Alex Killorn, and Anthony Cirelli were the goal scorers for the Lightning. This type of win over the lowly Devils won't be too encouraging for the struggling Lightning, especially with their backup Curtis McElhinney allowing six goals on 42 shots. Perhaps the strangest stat from this game, Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov were held pointless in a game where the Lightning scored seven goals.
