Tyler Ivey Outrighted To Triple-A
3 years agoHouston Astros right-handed pitcher Tyler Ivey was designated for assignment a few days before the start of the regular season. On Sunday, he cleared waivers and the team outrighted him to Triple-A. The 25-year-old has had a rough go of things since suffering a grade one UCL strain in 2019. He barely pitched in 2021, but did get a chance to make his MLB debut with the Astros. He made one start with the team and allowed four earned runs over 4 2/3 innings.
