Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said it's "a possibility, for sure" that quarterback Tyler Huntley would be the team's starting quarterback on Monday night against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4 with Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) on Injured Reserve and Skylar Thompson (ribs) day-to-day after getting injured in the Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Miami signed Huntley off the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad last week as QB insurance. The 26-year-old has had very little time to learn a new playbook, but he might give the Dolphins more upside with both his legs and arm than either of Thompson or Tim Boyle, who both struggled on Sunday in Seattle. For fantasy managers desperate at the QB position in two-QB superflex leagues, Huntley is worth a flier. Still, a move to Huntley isn't going to suddenly make receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle studs again in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tyler Huntley will seemingly get the start for the second straight game in Week 18, with Tua Tagovailoa (hip) being listed as doubtful for Sunday's game. Huntley had an excellent game against the Cleveland Browns last week, completing 22 of 26 passes for 225 yards and one passing touchdown to go along with 52 rushing yards on seven attempts and a rushing touchdown. Miami will travel in Week 18 to take on the New York Jets in a game where it is projected to be around 35 degrees at kickoff. Despite Jaylen Waddle (knee) and Tyreek Hill (wrist) looking like they will play, one good game is not enough to trust Huntley for fantasy owners still fighting for a championship. He is best left on the bench unless there are limited options available.--Jake Walker - RotoBaller

According to Alain Poupart of Sports Illustrated, the Miami Dolphins are approaching Week 18 with Tyler Huntley as the starting quarterback. Tua Tagovailoa (hip) did not suit up last weekend and is opening this week as a limited participant. In their victory over the Browns last Sunday, "Snoop" Huntley went 22-for-26 with 225 yards and a score. He added 52 yards and a score on the ground on seven rushing attempts. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Tagovailoa's status throughout the week. If Huntley were to be given another start, he should be viewed as a risky QB2 facing a New York Jets defense that has allowed the tenth-fewest PPR points to opposing QBs this season.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

According to Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, quarterback Tyler Huntley will get more practice repetitions than Tua Tagovailoa (hip) this week as the team prepares to face the division-rival New York Jets on the road in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday in another must-win game. "I don't think it's a lock he plays this week. The hip was more banged up than people realize... It's fair to say his status [for Jets] is in question," ESPN's Adam Schefter said. As of right now, the 26-year-old is on the wrong side of questionable for Week 18 after he missed the Week 17 win over the Cleveland Browns. It will all depend on how Tua's body responds to practice reps this week, but fantasy managers in two-QB superflex leagues should plan on being without Tagovailoa this weekend. Huntley wasn't terrible in his fourth start in 2024 against the Browns, throwing for 225 yards and a TD while also adding 52 rushing yards and a score on the ground.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Miami Dolphins backup quarterback Tyler Huntley did the job Sunday at Cleveland, completing 22 of 26 passes for 225 yards, leading the team in rushing, and accounting for two touchdowns without a turnover in the 20-3 victory. The journeyman ran for a game-best 52 yards on just seven carries, which included a 13-yard scramble for a touchdown in the third quarter, then sealed the victory with a seven-yard strike to tight end Jonnu Smith in the fourth. Managers who took a risk by starting Huntley in Superflex formats were rewarded with the performance, which wasn't perfect, but certainly good enough to fill in for the injured Tua Tagovailoa (hip). The Dolphins have not yet revealed who will start in Week 18 against the New York Jets.--Nick Piotrowicz - RotoBaller
