Tyler Glasnow Undergoing MRI Friday
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (forearm) said he didn't hear a pop and just had tightness in his forearm before leaving his start Friday night against the Yankees, but he's undergoing an MRI exam. Glasnow is remaining optimistic, but the Rays and fantasy owners are biting their nails and hoping that he won't need Tommy John surgery. The young right-hander has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the majors this year, sporting a 1.86 ERA with 55 strikeouts and only nine walks in his 48 1/3 innings over eight starts. He has an extensive injury history, too, so don't be surprised if he's forced to miss extended time.
