Tyler Glasnow To Begin His Rehab Assignment Friday
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (oblique) is scheduled to pitch in his first rehab game on Friday since the team shelved him with an oblique injury during spring training. He's planning to complete three innings of work for Triple-A Durham and should have at least one more, if not two, rehab appearances, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. The Rays are excited to get Glasnow back, as they're without Shane Baz (elbow) and Jeffrey Springs (elbow) for the rest of the season. The 22-year-old has only pitched more than 88 innings once but owns a career 4.00 ERA, 30.1% strikeout rate, and 1.24 WHIP over 409 2/3 innings and should provide fantasy managers with great value once he's back.
