Tyler Glasnow Removed From Rehab Start
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-hander Tyler Glasnow (tightness) was removed in the second inning of a rehab start at Triple-A Durham due to mild left-side tightness. Glasnow was making his second rehab start en route to making his season debut start in the majors but experienced some tightness in the second inning. The 29-year-old was expected to pitch four innings for the Bulls, and the Rays were hoping to ramp things up from there. Glasnow is a vital component of the Rays' rotation, but his health has prevented him from pitching through September. He underwent Tommy John in 2022, and the Rays were hoping to reinstate him at some point in May. Although the current diagnosis is mild-tightness, it may be another setback in his recovery.
