Tyler Conklin, Others Have Contracts Restructured By The Jets
2 years agoAccording to ESPN's Rich Cimini, tight end Tyler Conklin, cornerback D.J. Reed, and offensive guard Laken Tomlinson agreed to have their contracts restructured by the Jets. Conklin, who inked a three-year deal with New York in March 2022, had three touchdowns last season. Tomlinson is still considered one of the best at the position, while Reed ended the 2022-23 campaign with a career-high 80 total tackles. The Jets also reworked the deals of C.J. Uzomah and Braxton Berrios, saving the team more than $23 million against the cap. With that said, although none of these players are suitable fantasy options, it opens up a more straightforward path for the franchise to bring in Aaron Rodgers.
