4 weeks agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Boyd will face the Detroit Lions in a Week 8 matchup on Sunday. The longtime Bengals wideout hasn't been very relevant for fantasy this year finishing as a top-60 receiver only once on the season. Poor quarterback play and target competition have mainly been the culprit, but Boyd's role should increase after DeAndre Hopkins was shipped off to Kansas City earlier this week. The Titans' #1 wideout Calvin Ridley has been dealing with a foot injury this week, and if that slows him down at all, Boyd will likely be the main benefactor. It's probable the Titans will be in catch-up mode most of the afternoon as well, which could lead to more opportunity for Boyd. Detroit ranks dead-last in the NFL in slot points allowed to WRs this season, which is primarily where Boyd lines up. There is limited ceiling here, but Boyd could provide a safe spot start for fantasy managers.--Ryan J. Goodman
