Tyler Black Tallies Two Hits In Return To Triple-A
5 months agoMilwaukee Brewers infield prospect Tyler Black was recently optioned to Triple-A Nashville after getting another short stint in the major leagues. In his first game back in the minors on Monday, July 1, the 23-year-old went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a walk. Through 54 games at Triple-A this season, Black has posted a strong .281/.383/.486 line with nine long balls, 42 RBI, 12 stolen bases, and a 29:39 BB:K ratio. The Wright State University product has struggled to find consistent playing time in the majors this season, as he logged only 12 starts with a .235/.316/.294 line. MLB Pipeline ranks the infielder as the 34th best prospect in all of baseball, and he should be given another opportunity in the majors during the second half of the season.
