Tyler Alexander Will Start On Saturday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Tyler Alexander will start for the team on Saturday against the Cleveland Indians. Alexander has worked to a 4.77 ERA and a 4.78 FIP in 54.2 innings, striking out 45 batters and walking 14. Saturday will be the 27-year-old's seventh start, and fifth in a row, this season. The left-hander has mostly pitched out of the bullpen this year, but recently had to step into the rotation due to injuries. He hasn't topped five innings in a start this season. That being said, he could have some streaming appeal in deeper leagues against a Cleveland lineup that has an 89 wRC+ this year and just traded away Cesar Hernandez, Jordan Luplow, and Eddie Rosario.
