Ty Chandler Leads Minnesota Backfield In Second Preseason Game
1 year agoMinnesota Vikings running back Ty Chandler carried the ball 11 times for 24 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Tennessee Titans. His longest carry went for seven yards, as it was a tough night for the Minnesota backfield as a whole in the 24-16 loss. Chandler is competing for playing time with Kene Nwangwu and rookie DeWayne McBride, but it looks like he has the best shot at being the RB2 in this offense behind the clear starter Alexander Mattison. If he can hold onto the backup job as we near the regular season, Chandler would be nothing more than a handcuff to Mattison who projects to see the lion's share of touches in the Minnesota backfield. Fantasy managers can eye the North Carolina product towards the end of drafts in deep formats.
