Twins Resting Their Lefties Saturday
6 months agoThe Minnesota Twins will send Max Kepler, Edouard Julien, Alex Kirilloff and Trevor Larnach to the bench, as usual, while facing the Houston Astros and left-hander Framber Valdez in Houston on Saturday. Manuel Margot is playing right field and leading off, Kyle Farmer is at second base and batting seventh, Ryan Jeffers is the DH and in the three-hole, and Willi Castro is in left field and hitting sixth for the Twins. Minnesota regularly rests their lefty hitters when facing southpaws, so fantasy managers should be used to this by now. Margot is barely hitting over .200 on the year but gets a DFS boost as a sleeper in the leadoff spot. Jeffers has been a pleasant surprise for the Twins in 2024 with 12 homers, but he's hitting .195 with 16 K's in the last two weeks. Castro is hitting almost .400 in 48 at-bats against lefties this year.
