1 year agoThe Minnesota Twins moved into the top five in the 2023 MLB draft due to the draft lottery moving them up, and they benefitted and selected North Carolina high school outfielder Walker Jenkins. Jenkins was the North Carolina Gatorade player of the year the past two seasons and was committed to the University of North Carolina. Jenkins has 70-grade raw power, arguably the top grade among all high school selections in the 2023 draft. The last time the Twins selected a prep outfielder in the top 5 was Byron Buxton at 2nd overall in 2012.--Benjamin Chase
