Trey Burke Catches Fire In The Third Quarter
6 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Trey Burke wasn’t scared to pull the trigger on Monday, putting up 18 shots in 22 minutes on the court. Burke finished his night going 9-for-18 from the field, while ending with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Most of Burke’s production came in the third quarter when the guard scored 16 points fueling a Knicks comeback that would ultimately fall short. He has been in a small slump to start the season, and that may have been the reason we saw his minutes get severely cut on Monday. Going forward it will be interesting to see how the Knicks play him Wednesday against the Heat. If he starts slumping again watch for players like Allonzo Trier and Mario Hezonja to cut into his minutes even more.
