Trevor Zegras, Ducks Agree To Three-Year Deal
1 year agoAnaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras has signed off on a new three-year contract with the club that carries an average annual value of $5.75 million. The 22-year-old was a restricted free agent and has not been present at training camp while waiting to get a new contract signed. Drafted with the ninth overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, the American pivot tied a career-high with 23 goals while setting a new career-high with 65 points across 81 games last season. Additionally, he recorded new career highs in shots (184), blocks (29), penalty minutes (88), and average ice time per game (18:50) a season ago. Zegras is a solid fantasy asset but sports far better value in dynasty leagues than redraft leagues at this stage.
