Trevor Rogers Throws Five Solid Innings On Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers threw five decent innings in Tuesday's game against the Washington Nationals. He allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three. Rogers did not have his best stuff, but he was good enough to definitely give his team a chance to win, which they did not. Rogers has now tied a Marlins franchise record for the most consecutive starts with three earned runs or less, with 20. He did not factor in Tuesday's decision, so he will take his 7-6 record and 2.37 ERA into his next start.
