Trevor Rogers Takes A Loss Despite A Quality Start
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers wasn't at his best in Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox, but he still managed a quality start. He tossed six innings, allowing two runs on nine hits without a walk and six strikeouts. He took the loss, dropping his record to 6-3 and slightly raising his ERA to 1.87. The National League Rookie of the Month for April might just repeat for May. Rogers has been excellent and this start showed that he can still get away with not always having his best stuff. He's a top-of-the-rotation starter in any format.
