Trevor Rogers Excellent Again On Thursday
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers was excellent again in Thursday's start against the Colorado Rockies. He threw seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out eight. Rogers made it through six scoreless innings before being sent back out in a blowout game despite the Marlins wanting to "limit his innings" but then he was also allowed to bat in the bottom of the seventh only to be replaced before throwing a pitch in the eighth. Just more inexplicable Don Mattingly things. Rogers improved to 7-3 and sports a 2.02 ERA. He's having an excellent rookie year and is quickly becoming one of the best lefty pitchers in baseball.
