Trevor Rogers Blanks The Orioles On Wednesday
4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Trevor Rogers was excellent on Wednesday, keeping the Orioles off the board for seven innings. He allowed just four hits and a walk while striking out eight. Rogers only threw 82 pitches (60 strikes), but he was wisely removed after the seventh inning and the Marlins bullpen held on to give the rookie his second win of the season. Rogers will be 2-1 with a 1.64 ERA the next time he takes the mound. He's quickly becoming a must-start pitcher in all formats.
