Trevor Richards Impresses Again For Marlins
7 years agoAs the Miami Marlins search for depth in their depleted starting rotation, prospect pitcher Trevor Richards is giving them hope. Richards, ranked as the organization's No. 22 prospect, was stellar for the second-straight start on Saturday in a win against the Washington Nationals. Richards out-dueled Max Scherzer twice in one week, allowing just two runs in 10 innings of work. With Dan Straily expected to begin the season on the disabled list, Richards could see some big-league action much earlier than expected, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro.
