Trevor May Slated For An MRI On Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Trevor May (triceps) will undergo an MRI on his right arm on Tuesday. The 32-year-old has been struggling over the first month of the year, pitching to an 8.64 ERA and a 1.92 WHIP over 8.1 innings. On Monday night, he spoke to reporters and stated, "I'm not feeling 100 percent healthy...It's hard to compete when you're just worried if something is going to hurt when you throw, to the point where I'm not very comfortable throwing my best pitches." May first injured his right triceps during an outing on April 11, but he pitched through the injury and avoided a stint on the injured list. It sounds like a move to the injured list is coming this time around, but we should have more specific details soon.
