Trevor May Picks Up Tuesday's Save

Oakland Athletics reliever Trevor May closed out Tuesday's 1-0 extra-inning win over the Detroit Tigers. He went one inning, allowing no hits and one walk while striking out one to earn his sixth save of the season. May's numbers aren't pretty, as he's sporting a 5.16 ERA, 1.72 WHIP, and 17.6% strikeout rate across 22 2/3 innings. But since May 1, the 33-year-old owns a 2.70 ERA and all of his saves have come after the start of June. May can still be left on the waiver wire in standard leagues, but fantasy managers in deeper formats targeting saves should think about picking up the former fourth-round pick.
