Trevor May Notches 11th Save
1 year agoOakland Athletics right-handed pitcher Trevor May continued his nice run on Sunday, picking up the save in an 8-6 win over the San Francisco Giants. May didn't allow a baserunner and had zero punchouts in his inning of work. That makes six outings in a row where May hasn't allowed a run, and he has lowered his ERA from 5.32 to 4.15 in that stretch. The veteran reliever has taken a stranglehold of the A's closing job and is unlikely to lose it unless he has multiple blow-ups. The A's aren't exactly a powerhouse, so don't expect huge save totals, but May should be rostered in any standard or deeper leagues where saves matter.
