Trevor Lawrence Throws For 92 yards In Jaguars Preseason Victory
1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 8-of-10 passes for 92 yards in the 31-18 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The former No. 1 overall pick played the first two series and looked sharp, especially when targeting Calvin Ridley, who he hooked up with three times for 50 yards. Lawrence led two sustained drives of at least 78 yards, with the first almost leading to a score if not for a Tank Bigsby fumble on the six-yard line. Lawrence was able to lead the Jaguars to a score on his next opportunity, highlighted by a picturesque deep shot to Calvin Ridley, who made a nice adjustment and brought in the 28-yard catch. Travis Etienne then gave the Jaguars their first score of the game, capping off the 80-yard drive with a short touchdown run. Lawrence finished the preseason 13-for-16 with 128 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. With a gamut of play-making weapons at his disposal, the former Clemson Tiger is a popular breakout candidate after making huge strides last season and could be a value pick at his ADP of 55.
