Trevor Lawrence Projects As A Top 10 QB If Able To Go
11 months agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence cleared the NFL's concussion protocol on Friday and will travel with the team to Tampa Bay. Lawrence is still listed as questionable on the final injury report, so it is not yet known if he will start this Sunday's game, but this is still a significant development for his Week 16 outlook that was looking bleak just a day ago. If the young signal caller is able to go, he gets a choice matchup against the 31st ranked pass defense in the Buccaneers. Lawrence has been throwing the ball a ton lately, and teams are averaging over 35 attempts per game against this secondary which ranks in the top-five of the NFL. Couple this with how poor the Jags defense has looked of late and an on-fire Baker Mayfield, and you get a situation that will likely lead to a lot of points scored. Even with Zay Jones potentially sitting out and no Christian Kirk, Lawrence should still be able to find holes in this secondary and put up top-10 QB numbers.
