Trevor Larnach Collects First Major League Hit
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Trevor Larnach notched the first hit of his Major League career in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox. Larnach stepped up to the plate as a pinch-hitter in the top of the ninth inning- and ripped a double off of White Sox closer Liam Hendriks. The first hit of his career was no cheap one either, as it registered an exit velocity of 104.3 MPH and an expected batting average of .650. Larnach should see additional playing time at the corner outfield spots with Jake Cave and Max Kepler filling in for Byron Buxton (hip) in center. Larnach projects as a plus with his bat, as he hit .306 with 20 homers and a .857 OPS in three minor league seasons.
