Trevor Cahill Unlikely To Be Ready
It's looking like San Francisco Giants pitcher Trevor Cahill (finger) won't have enough time to ramp up to be ready for the Opening Day roster because of a fingernail issue. Cahill was hoping to win a rotation spot heading into the regular season, but that probably won't be the case for the 32-year-old because of the injury. The right-hander will now likely serve as a swing man/long-relief option for the Giants whenever he's fully healthy. Cahill had a 5.98 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, 81 K's and 39 walks in 37 games (11 starts) over 102 1/3 innings in his lone season with the Angels last year. At best, Cahill is rotation depth in NL-only leagues and a low-cost DFS streamer if he's making starts in 2020.
