Trevor Cahill Receives Injection
6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Trevor Cahill (back) received a trigger-point injection for his back soreness and will at least miss his next start this weekend, according to manager Bob Melvin. Cahill could be out even longer, depending on how his back reacts to the injection. That means that the right-hander could miss the rest of the regular season. Cahill has been solid for the A's and fantasy owners in 2018, going 6-3 with a 3.77 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 93 strikeouts over 102 2/3 innings over 19 starts. Don't count on him for much more fantasy production to close out the season.
