Trent Thornton To Start In Rotation
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo named starting pitcher Trent Thornton to the starting rotation to begin the year on Tuesday. He'll take the place of Ryan Borucki (elbow), who will likely miss two starts. Thornton will start in the series finale against the Tigers on March 31. The right-hander's stay in the rotation is likely to be short-lived, so he probably isn't worth much attention in fantasy. Thornton went 9-8 with a 4.85 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 122 strikeouts in 124 1/3 innings at Triple-A Fresno last year.
