Tre Tucker Targeted Twice But Comes Up Empty
1 month agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker earned two targets but failed to record a catch in the Raiders' blowout loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6. Things weren't looking good for the second-year-pro heading into the game, who had to face one of the league's toughest defenses against wide receivers. Pittsburgh's defense made life difficult for Tucker all day, and the lack of Las Vegas' top two receivers, Davante Adams (hamstring) and Jakobi Meyers (ankle) allowed the Steel Curtain to descend upon the former Cincinnati Bearcat with suffocating effectiveness. Tucker has juice, but he's on an awful offense and will continue catching passes from one of two ineffective quarterbacks. Tucker will look to rebound when his team faces the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7, who field a far less effective defense, and he'll benefit if at least one of the receivers ahead of him on the depth chart returns to draw away the Rams' best coverage.
