Travis Kelce OK With Being Underpaid
1 year agoKansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce admitted he thinks about how much more money he could be making if he "pressed the gas" on his contract, but ultimately, winning is more important to him. "My managers and agents love to tell me how underpaid I am," Kelce said. The Chiefs have won two of the last four Super Bowls. The 33-year-old is scheduled for a base salary of $11.25 million in 2023, which ranks 52nd among NFL players. He's under contract through 2025, and his average annual salary of $14,312,500 ranks third among tight ends, behind George Kittle ($15 million) and Darren Waller ($17 million). Kelce has seven straight seasons of 1,000-plus yards, which is a record for TEs. He led KC in catches (110) and receiving yards (1,338) last year and remains the No. 1 fantasy tight end.
